Rummy and His Selective Memory
As you may have seen recently, photos revealed that Donald Rumsfeld represented the Reagan Administration in a 1983 Baghdad meeting with Saddam while that administration was supplying Hussein with some of his earliest weapons of mass destruction.
Now it turns out that Rummy sat on the board of directors of the company that sold North Korea its two nuclear reactors in 2000 under the terms of the 1994 Agreed Framework. Both Rummy and Cheney have blasted the Clinton Administration for the 1994 deal, saying that their predecessors were too soft on Pyongyang and that the North should not have been rewarded for their earlier behavior.
Yet it appears that Rummy, like his pal Dick Cheney, never lets national security get in the way of profits.
