Bush’s Domestic Security Failings are Ready-Made Campaign Issue

by Steve

As usual, Krugman nails it again. If the Democrats, save Bob Graham, don’t have the guts that Carl Levin does to bulldog the WMD issue, perhaps they will have the guts to take the dereliction of duty issue on domestic security and hammer it as a campaign issue over the summer. It is an issue that is already developed and ready for feeding to the voters, and the added issue of seeing GOP subcommittee chairs closing meetings to protect the Administration from embarrassing revelations will only sell it more.
