Monday Quick Hits
Several items from the political file this morning:
Note from the linked AP wire summary that Wesley Clark said yesterday during his MTP appearance that he was joking in November when he said that Howard Dean was skiing while Clark was recovering from his wounds from Vietnam. According to Clark, his attempt at humor fell flat. Hmmm.
Also, in a great case of the pot calling the kettle black, RNC Chair Ed Gillespie said it was outrageous that a proposed ad sent in by a MoveOn.org contributor had an image of Adolph Hitler that morphed into an image of Bush. As usual, the GOP calls this political hate speech. This blast comes from the same guy (Gillespie) that had some involvement in the shameful ad that compared Vietnam war hero Max Cleland with Osama Bin Laden. I would like someone in the party today, anyone, to please tag Gillespie with this during this news cycle.
