Iowa Race Tightens Up
According to two new polls, Iowa is very competitive and a possible three-way race. In a new poll done for KCCI-TV by Research 2000, Gephardt is now within the margin of error and trails Dean by only four points, 29%-25%, with John Kerry now a strong third at 18%. No other candidate was in double digits.
But according to the new Survey USA poll completed and released late yesterday, Dean leads at 29% (the same as the Research 2000 poll), with Gephardt at 22%, Kerry at 21%, but a surging John Edwards now at 17%.
