Bears repeating

This needs to be repeated. Its simple, and it really puts the lie to all of the mealy mouthed, gutless, stonewalling, responsibility denying crap from the Bush White House.

The PDF of August 6th, 2001, conducted in Crawford, Texas, at the beginning of George W Bush's month long vacation, had a memo titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States."

Think about it. After all the lies and filibusters, and blaming of Clinton, for all the whole 233 days, the structural problems ad nauseum, there is that.

But they had no clue.

I don't know what to think about my country right now. I do know what I think about this administration.

And if you think that maybe they had a full plate and this terrorism thing was just a memo's worth, here's something else they were "working" on, courtesy of David Neiwert's Orcinus, and Salon.

Yes indeed, the grown-ups were in charge, weren't they?

One last thought before I head to that freeway destiny (Orcinus comment thread). The big fat hand of Big Time Dick is all over every miserable failure of this administration, from day one.

And this is one of the costs of the Bill Clinton witchhunt conducted by Tom DeLay and Kenneth Starr. He should have fired Louis Freeh a long time ago, but couldn't without risking a tremendous firestorm of bogus Rethuglican outrage that could very well have forced him out of office. And Freeh is probably the worst FBI Director we've ever had. And he was in charge all the time those terrorists were running around inside this country planning 9/11.
