GOP Donor And Carpet Salesman Is Bush's Choice For Manufacturing Czar

by Steve

Months after saying he would deal with the loss of domestic manufacturing jobs by naming an Assistant Secretary of Commerce to deal with the problem, and then seeing his first selection implode because his company outsourced jobs, the best that Bush could do for the job was a carpet salesman from a company that only employs 400 people.

But at least he is a good carpet salesman who only wanted a part-time government position.

How is Mr. Frink qualified for such a position? In the time-honored GOP approach to government service, Mr. Frink had the only qualification that mattered.
