After A Warning From Bush, Spain Accelerates Withdrawal Of Its Troops

by Steve

After seeing the Bush Administration initially downplay talk of a rupture in American-Spanish cooperation as a result of Spain’s decision to withdraw its 1400 troops from Iraq, and then seeing Bush ignore yesterday’s comments by his own administration and make some stern comments today to the new Prime Minister about their decision to withdraw, Spain gave Bush the Bronx salute and said they will withdraw their troops in less than 6-8 weeks. In fact, it has already started.

It’s good to see how much influence Bush has with world leaders and among the Coalition of the Willing, isn’t it?
