About Time They Showed UP!
The other day, I posted an interview with John Fogarty, who wondered where all the musical protest was. Maybe he was just a tad early with his question!
We've already covered Linda Ronstadt's escapade with the Aladdin whose new Planet Hollywood owners have offered her and Michael Moore their stages, but Blues Chanteuse Bonnie Raitt has joined in:
On Tuesday, Bonnie Raitt dedicated the Isaac Hayes-penned classic "Your Good Thing (Is About to End)" to President Bush on stage at the Stockholm Jazz Festival in Sweden. According to published reports, Raitt swooned, "We're gonna sing this for George Bush because he's out of here, people!" to raucous applause from the audience.
Last year's whipping girls, the Dixie Chicks, have not suffered any permanent professional damage for Natalie mains anti-Bush comments last year. In fact, they're sittin' on top of the country world again!
Even the rap world is waking up to the dangerous reality that is BushCo Republicanism.
Rapper Jadakiss' record Kiss of Death recently skyrocketed to number one on Billboard's Hot 100 due in part to controversy surrounding the single Why, which asks the question: "Why did Bush knock down the towers?"
Anyone heard from the Airplane lately?
