No good deed goes unpunished - Iraq style
by soccerdad
From the NYT. Joesph Darby was the reservist who alerted investigators to the abuses at Abu Ghraib. He say the abuse as inhumane. Because of his sense of morality and because of his high character led him to do the right thing, the army has had to put him and his wife in protective custody because of the death threats he has received.
But is this really surprising? You have the right including religious leaders who have demonized the muslims and their religion. You have a bunch of relative moralists who say, well its not as bad as Saddam, or Hitler or whoever.
I find this disgusting and an indictment of the current state of morality, its lack actually, in this administration and the Rethugs in general.
