What else is going on in the world today? Isn't it a shame that the Bush administration is incapable of dealing with facts? (Yes, Virginia, there was no grave and gathering threat - rather it was a diminishing and dwindling threat, and today the consequences of an invasion far outweigh the benefits).

Frankly, the best quote of the week comes from Ben Franklin via Dwight Meredith of Wampum blog:

One of the greatest tragedies of life is the murder of a beautiful theory by a gang of brutal facts. -- Ben Franklin

As Dwight points out in his post, Franklin's insight is still very relevant to our modern day world.
