Somedays it seems like everywhere one turns there is more good news to discover when inhabiting Bush's great new world.
How about the fact that Paul Volcker predicts that we have a 75% chance of having an Argentina style of financial crisis in the next five years? And that's even before Bush gets around to "fixing" the tax code as befits his "mandate". [ed: yeah, I must have missed this when Volcker said it, because I was shocked to see this factoid in Kevin's post today.]
Or how democracy is winning in Iraq? As Juan Cole's roundup of the news coming from the middle East shows, even the neighbors are worried about the increasing chaos arising in Iraq.
Or the show KQED had tonight on It's Your World with Graham Allison talking about the very real threat that al Qaeda could get a nuclear bomb? Heck, we know that our government is doing all it can to protect the American people from terrorism.
Or the fact that in Bush's Bizarro World, we don't need no stinkin' science. But never fear, Bush knows that God is directing his every move, and certainly if there was anything lost in transitioning to this brave new world, God would step in to protect his newly chosen people.
So let's give thanks for the blessings Bush has brought unto us all.
This is tonight's open thread.
