Gonzales Already Taking Steps To Finish The Whitewash On The Plame Case

by Steve

I wonder if any of the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee asked pointed questions of Alberto Gonzales on the Valerie Plame investigation and the status of the inquiry. They may wish that they had. It appears that now that Gonzales has been installed in the Justice Department, he is already taking steps to ensure that we’ll never know who really committed a felony in outing Plame’s secret identity to Bob Novak. It appears that Gonzales’s first act is to bring with him to DOJ three White House attorneys who were working on the Plame case. That should help Justice make sure that the White House will never have to reveal what actually happened.

I hope Joe Lieberman is happy.
