These days there is a lot of frustration that the Democrats in Congress aren't doing more to act like an opposition party. I think part of the problem is that we neglect to remember or think about those representatives that are doing a yeoman's job in doing the people's work. In the latest issue of The Nation magazine, we find a couple of profiles of two very important and courageous Democratic leaders doing what they can to stand up against the Republican juggernaut. Kudos to Representative Henry Waxman and Senator Dick Durbin. They both show how a real opposition party must act.
