The bankruptcy vote has gotten under my skin and I can't quite stop myself from writing about it. One thing the ghouls that support it said is that it won't really hurt people because it would only affect those who really could pay (unless they are rich, rich, rich) and won't hurt those who make below the state median income. And, oh, yeah, didn't they name this bill the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act? I guess we should thank all those Senators who don't think preventing companies from charging usurious interest rates could be considered a consumer protection matter. The Democrats that voted against this amendment: Biden (D-DE), Carper (D-DE), Johnson (D-FL), and Ben Nelson (D-NE).
Okay, you pick the topic.
