At A Time Of War And Deficits, 42 House Democrats Vote To Repeal Estate Taxes

by Steve

The House just voted to repeal the estate tax for good in 2010.

Here are the 42 Democrats who voted for permanent repeal:

Barrow
Bean
Berkley
Berry
Bishop (GA)
Boren
Boswell
Boucher
Butterfield
Cardoza
Chandler
Clay
Costa
Costello
Cramer
Cuellar
Davis (TN)
Edwards
Farr
Filner
Gordon
Hinojosa
Hooley
Israel
Jackson-Lee
Jefferson
Larsen (WA)
Matheson
McCarthy
McIntyre
Melancon
Peterson (MN)
Rahall
Ross
Ruppersberger
Ryan
Salazar
Loretta Sanchez
Scott (GA)
Skelton
Towns
Wynn

Showing true courage, Jim Leach of Iowa was the only Republican who voted against Tom DeLay and the White House. So much for any independence voiced by Chris Shays over the last couple of days.

As for these Democrats who voted to hand a trillion dollars to the wealthy at a time of war and deficits as far as the eye can see, anything they say about deficit spending or fiscal irresponsibility from this day on is hypocritical nonsense.

Party on Paris.
