One of the more ironic aspects of DeLay's arbitrarily changing the ethics committee rules so they couldn't cause him any more trouble was that because the Democrats refused to accept the changes, the ethics committee couldn't be used to "clear" him. As long as there is no ethics committee, DeLay's troubles are dragging him down. So today, the House Republicans are reversing the change that would keep the committee from opening an investigation if half the members believe there was merit in the ethics charge. So what do you think the results of an investigation into DeLay's affairs would be?
Your turn now.
