Bush Administration Allows FBI To Leave Terror-Fighting Analyst Positions Unfilled

Obviously, remaking the FBI into a terrorist-fighting agency got in the way of "escort, trash, and phone" duties. It's good to see how committed John Ashcroft and Robert Mueller were to fighting terror. But it also seems clear that 1) the White House doesn't make fighting terror a high enough priority; and 2) if this report had come out under a President Gore, the GOP majorities in both houses and the corporate controlled media would be going ballistic right now.
