Lugar Cashes In Whatever Honor He Had Left To Push Bolton Through

Steve Clemons over at his Washington Note blog pointed out late yesterday that the previously-honorable Richard Lugar has intervened in his role as chair of the Senate Foreign Relations committee to stifle the information request made by Joe Biden to Condi Rice for State Department information on John Bolton. Apparently Lugar feels that if Condi only answers 4 of Biden's 9 questions, that is sufficient to proceed to a vote.

So much for any respect I had left for Lugar.
