Karzai Reverses Course Under Domestic Pressure - Wants US To Prosecute Koran Desecrators

After initially dismissing and trivializing the rage of his countrymen towards the US in the midst of reports that American interrogators at Guantanamo Bay desecrated the Koran in front of Islamic prisoners, Afghanistan president and Bush toady Hamid (Unocal) Karzai has now been forced by the wave of violence in his country to change his stance this morning. He is now calling on Bush to find out if the reports are true and to prosecute any offenders.

It’s too late Hamid. Your initial reaction showed whose pocket you were in, and your own people want you gone now because you are clearly Bush’s bitch and a bag man for your oil industry benefactors. Unlike Musharraf, who at least has an army and the ISI to protect him, all you have are several thousand British and another 12,000-15,000 American forces to keep Kabul safe; the countryside is already in the hands of regional governors and war lords, and yet you stupidly bungled this issue.
