In a nutshell, that's John Edwards' response to the weekend brouhaha and bloggers' skewering of him :-)

Anyway, here's his response (thanks to Dave Johnson for the link).

UPDATE: One thing is for sure. Edwards reads blog critiques and takes them seriously enough to respond. That's a good sign. Now Senator, if you also just reframe the debate the next time you are put in a spot, you'll become an instant blog favorite!
