Rats Abandon Sinking Duke Stir-What do They Know

by Duckman GR

A new article from Marcus Stern adds another angle to the story. 2 weeks ago it started with a dubious home deal, and now it's morphed into something else. At the center of it is not Congressional Corruption, but Mitchell Wade.

Josh Marshall has noted that Wade has MZM up for sale, and Stern's article also reports on the leavings of other MZM personnel.

After those revelations, Wade selected Frank Bragg, MZM's [COO], to replace him as CEO and president. But Friday evening, Bragg abruptly left ... the company.

Kay Cole James, MZM's [Sr.] Executive [VP] for national security transformation, [?] also resigned on Friday. She had only joined the company last month.

Pres. Bush appointed James director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Mgmt in 2001, and she previously worked in federal posts during the administrations of ... George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.

So what's up with Wade? As Josh also notes, his first contract was a $140,000 deal in July 2002 to provide "office furniture" and "custom computer programming services" for the executive office of the president of the United States.

It received a second ... contract in Aug 2004 for $167,000 and a $25,000 contract to provide office furniture and computer services for the Interior Department's Minerals Management Service. It also received a contract with the FBI and another with the National Archives.

Trolling for work? What kind of company gets to install office furniture and computer software at the White House for the President of the United States of America as their very first bit of Federal work?

The FBI, Interior Minerals, National Archives, The PResidents office.

What does Mitchell Wade know?
