One of the more depressing, um, make that ironic aspects about some of the Bush supporters is when they realize their guy is absolutely batty. They seem to think that because they are with him on issues like terrorism, strong military, low taxes, no safety net, that he is one of them. Then he goes and says something about thinking that students should be "exposed" to all kinds of theories and that "intelligent design" is just as good as that stuff Darwin talked about. You just know that some of his supporters found their heads exploding when they realized the guy is convinced that this is true and that his opinion is better than someone else's facts.
