Pat Leahy Trusts Roberts, Will Support Him

by Steve

"Roberts is a man of integrity. I can only take him at his word that he does not have an ideological agenda."
--Pat Leahy, today

Pat Leahy is a trusting sort. He just came out in support of John Roberts, saying that he thinks it is better generally to vote "yes" than "no", and that he can only trust that Roberts doesn't have an ideological agenda. This was after Max Baucus said he trusted Roberts also.

Pin those comments on your bulletin board, so that when we see what Roberts is really about in the months ahead, Leahy and Baucus can get the "Cheney" treatment from their own party.
