Did Bush Want To Bomb Al-Jazeera?

London's Daily Mirror newspaper, which doesn't exaxctly have the greatest reputation in the world, is running a story that Bush wanted to bomb Al-Jazeera's headquarters, but was talked out of it in April 2004 by Tony Blair. There are some who say that Bush was being "humorous" when he said this to Blair, and others who say he was serious, yet it is important to note that if in fact Bush was kidding, then why is the Blair government going after the civil servant who leaked the existence of a Downing Street memo on the subject?

It does put the previous "accidental" bombings of Al-Jazeera and other journalists in Iraq in a different light.
