A clarification, Mr. Dean?
by eriposte
Via Buzzflash, I see that one of the GOP's top internet frauds (The Scumbag Drudge Report) has a post that the RNC plans to continue its campaign of fraud against Howard Dean with an anti-Dean ad showing a white flag.
I didn't have much time to comment on Howard Dean's statement:
...[the] idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong...
So, let me state that Dean should have been a little more precise with his statement. Here is what I think he should have said:
...[the] idea that George Bush and the GOP are going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong...their unmatched incompetence and corruption guarantees that this war will not be won unless you bring Democrats into power.
In fact, let's be clear. If you want to be attacked by terrorists (like on 9/11), if you want to see escalating terrorist attacks worldwide, and if you want to lose wars - and in the process, lose thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of your hard-earned taxpayer dollars - there is only one party that can be trusted to achieve all of that - today's GOP.
On the other hand, if you want to win against terrorists and win in Iraq, the party you should trust is the Democratic party.
Would Mr. Dean consider clarifying his remarks?
P.S. A reminder:
Lauer: ...Do you really think we can win this war on terror in the next four years?
President Bush: I have never said we can win it in four years.
Lauer: So I’m just saying can we win it? Do you see that?
President Bush: I don’t think you can win it....
