Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before
Why is it that certain people seem to think that they are the only ones who determine rectitude?
"The great majority of Muslims in Europe see themselves as bearers of a superior civilization and see themselves growing prodigiously. Through a cultural, religious and demographic confidence they feel scorn towards European ways and conspire to take it over."
Fox News contributor Daniel Pipes saw a connection to the Islamist goal of gaining a foothold in Europe in its global jihad.
Nothing like moving in and being bad guests, eh Pipes?
Now, allow me to change a few things and we'll see how it plays:
"The great majority of Christians in America see themselves as bearers of a superior civilization and see themselves growing prodigiously. Through a cultural, religious and demographic confidence they feel scorn towards American ways and conspire to take it over."
Sound far fetched? It's not! Straight white Christian males remain the bulk of the electorate most likely to vote Republican and A group of believers wants to establish Scriptures-based government and are warmly welcomed by some: “I, for one, welcome our new fundamentalist whacko overlords!”
In addition, if we didn't know it by now, religious tolerance is openly proclaimed of the self while ignoring the vicious persecution that is claimed by the real intention of the 'other', both in Islamia:
National Commission for Justice and Peace organized a National Consultation meeting on "Ending Religious Intolerance." The conference in Lahore brought together religious and civil society leaders from around the country, including representatives of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, the Christian Study Centre, the Commission for Peace and Human Development and the Centre of Legal Assistance and Settlement.
Islamic leaders using loudspeakers urged Muslims to rise up and eliminate Christians. They also passed a resolution demanding that Yousaf Masih, a Christian accused of desecrating the Quran, be publicly hanged.
And in America:
We are so good and so pure we would never engage in discriminatory racial or "religious" profiling.
We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.
It is said that no war is so vicious as that between brothers. The history of every civil war that I've read about tends to prove that statement. Even though religious leaders seek dialogue among the major religions to confirm that we are all brothers, we aren't believers in that message.
The opening comments above confirm THAT message - and the wars go on.
Merry Holidays! Happy Christmas! Whatever!
