Too Bad We Don't Support Afghanistan More Than We Do

A poll out today shows that large majorities of Afghans reject the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and want more peacekeepers in their country. They are also very supportive of our military presence and the United Nations. With that kind of sturdy support, it makes you wonder how far along we would have been in rebuilding and strengthening Afghanistan by now if we hadn't diverted our resources and attention towards Iraq.

Follow-Up: And yes, Avaroo, Bush and Rummy did redirect $700 million from supplemental Afghanistan war funding to Iraq war preparations in the Summer of 2002 without congressional knowledge or approval.
