Senate Judiciary Committee Sends Alito To Floor With 10-8 Party Line Vote

The Senate Judiciary Committee sent Samuel Alito's nomination to the full senate on a 10-8 party line vote this morning, with all Democrats on the committee voting against recommending him to the full Senate.

This is why we have elections folks, so that the GOP gets to do this and then be held accountable in 2006 for what Alito will do.
