Bush's Energy Department Cutting Positions From Alternate Energy Research

by Steve

Just how committed is Bush to investing in alternate energy development and research, as he claimed he would do Tuesday night?

So committed that when no one is looking, he is eliminating positions from the program.

And you have to love the overt hypocrisy from John Cornyn of Texas, when he says he opposes government funding for ethanol, but sees no problem with the government funding for his pet alternate energy source: nuclear.

I wonder how much money Cornyn has been getting from the nuclear power folks? For that matter, note the comments from Joe Barton to see how out of touch he is from the concerns of consumers about high gas prices. Of course, that's what happens when you have been in the back pocket of the industry for years.
