Why In Hell Is Bush Outsourcing Port Security To Anyone In The Middle East?

by Steve

"I don't think now's the time to outsource major port security to a foreign country."
--GOP Senator Lindsey Graham to Fox News today

The same president who walks hand in hand with the country that sent 15 of the 19 September 11th murderers to our shores now wants to hand over port security at many East Coast seaports to a country that sent another 2 of the 9/11 murderers to our shores and acted as a financial bagman for Al Qaeda.

And it doesn’t help matters when the hapless Michael Chertoff couldn’t tell the media today anything about the deal because it was classified. Sure Mike, you of Katrina fame, let’s go ahead and let a Middle Eastern country run security for us four years after 9/11. Do Rummy and Shooter have investments in this company?

It’s just another example of how business trumps national security to George W. Bush. The next time you hear anyone in the administration or their bedwetting sycophants denigrate Democrats over fighting terrorists, remember this and the fact that the terror threat is grossly exaggerated for the GOP’s political gain.
