For Freedom And Liberty

This is what happens when you send overampped teenagers who grew up on violent video games to war:

A Pentagon probe into the death of Iraqi civilians last November in the Iraqi city of Haditha will show that U.S. Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood," Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said.
Military officials told NBC News that
the Marine Corps' own evidence
appears to show Murtha is right.
American troops entered homes on Nov. 19 and shot dead 15 members of two families, including a 3-year-old girl, after a roadside bomb killed a U.S. Marine. Murtha, a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq, said at a news conference Wednesday that sources within the military have told him that an internal investigation will show that "there was no firefight, there was no IED (improvised explosive device) that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

Makes you proud to be an American, doesn't it? It is things like this which are destroying the respect America once enjoyed in the world, earned by our parents and grandparents in the boiling cauldron of the worst war ever fought up to that time.

If these big brave Marines only knew what real pressure was! Do they not know about places like Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa? What about the Chosin Reservoir? The Tet Offensive? Maybe not - the enemy could shoot back in those instances.

Iraq - It just isn't like Grand Theft Auto, Quake, or Doom, is it?
