Plame Files Civil Suit Against Cheney, Libby, And Rove

The other shoe dropped this afternoon when Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame filed a civil suit against Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, and Karl Rove.

In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Valerie Plame and her husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador, accused Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby of revealing Plame's CIA identity in seeking revenge against Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration's motives in Iraq.

Let the discovery begin. Keep an eye on the National Press Club tomorrow for the press conference announcing the suit. As commenter Danton notes, the suit (which can be seen here thanks to a DailyKos diarist) lists John Does as co-defendants, who are senior administration officials inside the government during the time in quesiton or political operatives.

And the best part: thanks to Paula Jones, it's Shooter who is now in the crosshairs.
