Despite having been a professional musician, I've never been much of a fan of Nashville. Country music for the longest time has been the bastion of our political opposites, which hasn't helped much.

However:

The Dixie Chicks started me up, and it appears that Nashville is going progressive:

A group of record-company executives, talent managers and artists has released an online compilation of 20 songs, several directly critical of Mr. Bush and the Iraq war.
