McCain And Bush Are Made For Each Other

by Steve

Yesterday, I said that Chris Shays was campaigning for a straightjacket and a padded room. Today, John McCain seems to be intoxicated from Bush's rectal aroma as he realizes that he may soon be nothing more than a ranking member from a minority party with his lips planted firmly on Bush’s butt.

When asked for his reaction to a potential Democratic takeover of the Senate in the midterm elections, McCain said, "I think I'd just commit suicide... I don't want to face that eventuality because I don't think it's going to happen. I think it's going to be tough, but I think we'll do OK."

Of course, McCain said later that he was just joking, and was only trying to point out how bad it would be for the country if Democrats were able to act as a check and balance against GOP power. This is from the same man who falsely said last week that Clinton’s record on North Korea was to blame for their recent nuclear test, only to find out this week that in fact George W. Bush lifted Clinton's plutonium freeze that allowed Pyongyang to go nuclear.

Then again, lying to the American people is nothing new to McCain or his paramour Mr. Bush either. Today, Bush offered these bald-faced lies about Nancy Pelosi to a crowd of Stepford cultists in support of mistress-choking GOP representative Don Sherwood of Pennsylvania:

"The Speaker of the House, official third in line for presidency, would be a congresswoman who voted against renewing the Patriot Act,against creating the Department of Homeland Security, against removing Saddam Hussein from power, against continuing the terrorist surveillance program, and against questioning terrorists in the CIA program."

Imagine what Democrats can now say about Bush using his own standards for veracity. Each one of those claims is a lie. But then, Bush has no problem designating this “Character Counts Week” and then stumping with a man who should be doing time. Come to think of it, both of them should be doing time.
