At a pretrial hearing on Thursday, Patrick Fitzgerald gave Scooter Libby and his defense team reason to worry about their chances of convincing both Judge Reggie Walton and a future jury that Libby's "bad memory" defense should be taken seriously. The Washington Post reports in Friday's edition that Fitzgerald destroyed Libby's expert witness on the stand Thursday.
