He's Back

Trent Lott is back in the GOP Senate leadership after defeating Lamar Alexander 25-24 in a vote for Minority Whip. Aside from the media’s fixation with the circumstances surrounding Lott’s White House-engineered departure from the Majority Leader’s position years ago for his laudatory support of segregation, what is overlooked is that Lott has no reason to be of any assistance to a lame duck administration that pushed him aside for the woeful Bill Frist.
