Gerald Ford passed away late Tuesday night at the age of 93. May he rest in peace. Yes, he pardoned Nixon against the advice of his consultants and pollsters, yet I remember reading that if the 1976 election had taken place ten days later, Ford would have beaten Carter, and the last thirty years of our political history would have been much different.
