Tell Me Another One Skippy

by Steve

Leopards don't change their spots.

“I can say with certainty that the Quds Force, a part of the Iranian government, has provided these sophisticated I.E.D.’s that have harmed our troops.”
--Bush, today, at his press conference

Tell me Ace, given your track record, do you really want to say you know something "with certainty"? If you are so certain, then please tell us all who is your source or sources with this "certain" information? And please, we are way beyond hearing the obligatory "need to protect intelligence sources" defense, since it was you and your impeachable VP who blew up Brewster Jennings.

"The danger to our country is grave and it is growing. The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons, is rebuilding the facilities to make more and, according to the British government, could launch a biological or chemical attack in as little as 45 minutes after the order is given. The regime has long-standing and continuing ties to terrorist groups, and there are al Qaeda terrorists inside Iraq. This regime is seeking a nuclear bomb, and with fissile material could build one within a year."
--Bush radio address, September 28, 2002

Once a liar, always a liar.

If I am Jay Rockefeller right about now, I would be demanding to know who the sources of this "with certainty" intelligence are, and what AEI neocon rock they crawled out from under. Better yet Senator Rockefeller, convene a hearing of the Intelligence Committee, and make the administration show its case right now to the committee in closed session, and tell the Senate why this alternative isn't also plausible.

In other words, call his f*cking bluff right now, and if they stonewall or push Congress off with the "we can't tell you" response, then immediately introduce a resolution to rescind the 2001 AUMF and the 2002 Iraq war resolution. Bush opened this door today, and it's time the Democrats drove a truck through it.
