GOP Hypocrisy Runs Amok

We take it for granted that the GOP defenders of Alberto Gonzales who think this is all political noise also think they were correct in holding Bill Clinton to a different standard. We’re talking about GOP slugs like Trent Lott and Representative Lamar Smith.

But I’ve always wondered how righteous Christians like Monica Goodling are educated in evangelical institutions and use those evangelical roots in getting high-level jobs with the Bush Administration, and then can so easily lie through their teeth to Congress. I must have missed that part of the Bible where it says “do unto your political enemies before they do unto you.”

I'm sure that evangelical education will do her good while she fends off testifying to Congress later this week.
