Open Thread - Retroactive Secrecy Violations Edition

by Mary

The Bush administration has decided that the government memo dealing with cost cutting contained sensitive national security information and so when the air marshall passed that information on to a reporter, he was jeopardizing national security. Four years ago that memo had not been designated as containing sensitive national security, but today it now is. Therefore, Robert MacLean, the ex-airmarshall can now be prosecuted for the release of this memo. Welcome to Franz Kafka's world.

It's your thread now.
