Wolfowitz Out? - Nope

by Steve

ABC News is reporting, and CNBC is confirming that the World Bank is completing an exit strategy for Paul Wolfowitz to resign and save face, perhaps as early as this afternoon. From the story, it's clear he no longer is wanted at the bank or by the member nations to be representing them, yet face-saving is necessary before the snake agrees to slither away. Yet the White House still has confidence in him and wants him to stay on, because they need him there to fulfill the "rape and plunder" agenda of this administration and its campaign contributors.

Will the bank allow the Bush Administration to appoint the successor, or will they finally wise up?

Update (3 PM Pacific): Wolfowitz refuses to resign, and wants to force the bank board to fire him.
