The Clinton Climate Initiative is kick starting a program to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in cities. This program is designed to increase energy efficiency for buildings - an area which produces almost a third of the world's greenhouse gases. Cities all over the world, including ones in the developing world could do a lot to reduce the carbon footprint of the world's urban areas. Energy efficiency is a clear winner in getting started in dealing with our global warming problem.
