Obama Campaign Counsel Supports Libby Pardon

Why does Barack Obama's campaign counsel support a pardon for Scooter Libby? If Robert Bauer actually thinks that a Bush pardon of Libby will force Bush to step up and take responsibility for his actions and those of his administration in lying us into war and a failed occupation, then Mr. Bauer needs to be fired for stupidity as well. He obviously hasn't been watching the same Bush I've been watching for seven years.

If Obama opposes a Libby pardon, then don't they feel it is problem for their chief counsel to go public with a position contrary to the candidate? Does the Obama campaign support the whitewashing of perjury, obstruction of justice, and the destruction of a national security asset for political purposes?
