We don't have 50 years to dither about reducing our greenhouse gases emission and yet, we have a political system that is about as dysfunctional as can be for addressing something like this crisis. We have a few Democratic representatives that are ideologically incapable of divorcing their sponsors interests from their duty to represent their constituents (who after all, might want a world that isn't torn apart by the consequences of global warming). And then there are the Republicans who have lately been breed for congenital blindness to reality. In some ways it feels like humanity is being asked to make the most momentous decisions that we've ever been required to make while having to get great-Aunt Sally to go along with those plans. But she's got a tenuous hold on reality, so it's a very hard sell.

Well, it's your turn now.
