White House Rejects New Iraq Study Group

The White House has squashed attempts to revive the Iraq Study Group and does not want any competing assessments for General Petraeus's report in September. They have gone so far as to prevent James Baker from resuming any role.
Bob Woodward tells us one reason why Bush is against the resumption of the ISG: they have already seen first hand evidence that he is detached from the intelligence community on Iraq.
