Why Invoke Executive Privilege On Tillman Death?

Why would the White House go so far as to invoke executive privilege in denying Henry Waxman's request for documents relating to the death of Pat Tillman unless the Bush Administration is hiding the fact that the White House was involved in the disinformation surrounding his friendly fire death?
