Specter: Still Waiting On Gonzo

Yesterday, Arlen Specter gave the administration 18 hours to explain Alberto’s recent lies to the Senate Judiciary Committee. As was to be expected, the White House missed the deadline and blew off Specter until he got a letter from Director of National Intelligence McConnell this afternoon, but not a response from Gonzales as he requested. Now that he’s read the McConnell letter, Specter is unhappy with the response he got, and is waiting until Alberto sends him his response before Specter caves again.
