This John Edwards speech on how to handle terrorism is so sensible and reasonable that the Republican Wide-Stance Neo-Con Macho Men might feel compelled to invade a Middle Eastern land just to distract attention. It's that good.

Here's a tip for hapless GOPers, in recovery from the years and years of bamboozlement: find the terrorists who attacked us and then attack them. Do not waste time attacking pathetic dictators who did not attack us.

See how easy that is? And here's the really beautiful part: most Americans understand this. They get it. That's why the dopes in the White House have such abysmal poll numbers. That's why John Edwards can win the Presidency. He gets what most Americans get.

Whereas Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton claim the nation is now safer from terrorism than before 9/11, here we have John Edwards on the record as calling the Bush war on terror "a double-edged failure."

Wimpy Democrats who keep pulling their punches are about to find themselves left behind by actual leadership.
