Just Selling Books

Is anyone surprised that McClellan never intended to suggest that Bush lied? Sure, Scotty is throwing everyone else under the bus at the White House, but no one should be surprised at how quickly he exonerated Bush.

The truth is that:

1) Scottie is simply selling books here;
2) Without Bush, his entire adult life is a zero; and
3) As long as Bush didn't lie himself, Scottie doesn't care that Bush let him lie.

Bush has surrounded himself with hero worshippers who see it as their duty to protect the emperor at all costs. But the Cheney cabal doesn't drink the same Kool-Aid, which is why Bush so quickly gave Scooter his "get out of jail free" card.
