Checking in

I was on the road most of the past couple days. I guess I missed some fun. I was going to write something about some of this site's critics, but out of respect for the candidates' truce, I will take the high road.

My latest political fantasy is that Senator Edwards can hang around long enough to force a brokered convention, then sacrifice his own aspirations to force enough delegates from the other candidates to join him in creating a unity nominee. Then, they could call Al Gore and tell him that the party, the country and the world need him, and they won't take "no" for an answer. Yeah, I can dream.

The bottom line is this: on the most important issues, none of our candidates are offering what I consider to be adequate answers; but none of the Republicans even seem to realize there are questions.
